Our vision for Deakin involves creating innovative teaching and learning experiences for students using Immersive Digital Reality, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and utilizing Internet of Things, Digital ID and Blockchain as an approach to resolve challenging issues.
We achieve this by maintaining a user-centered focus through ideation, extensive research and experimentation and iterating on each concept from alpha to beta to pilot stage.

Digital Identity is a way of securely managing an individual’s information and using it to personalise online services and applications. It provides a way for users to control and personalise the data they want to share with us, meaning they are automatically shown information tailored to them.

Immersive Digital Reality (IDR) is poised to revolutionise interactive and collaborative learning through innovative uses of Virtual (VR), Augmented (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR).
Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to an interconnected network of sensors and actuators, and their ability to send and receive data via the Internet. Collectively, they represent a kind of digital nervous system that covers our campuses and act as the core building blocks of our Smart Campus initiatives.
