By working closely with our organisational sustainability team and our School of Architecture and Built Environment we can use the University campuses (including buildings, natural environments, and communities) as places to collaboratively develop, apply and learn about solutions to real world sustainability challenges.
In particular through monitoring certain aspects of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) aspects, such as air quality, temperature, lighting and other factors we can potentially assess impacts on health, comfort and productivity of people who occupy the spaces. Additionally IEQ data can be used to inform the planning and design or new environments and spaces.
